Guitar Notes: First Position (Frets 0-3)

Mastering the "Open" World

The first three frets (plus open strings) are known as the "First Position." This is where 90% of campfire chords and folk songs live. But do you really know the notes, or just the chord shapes?

Why This Matters

By forcing yourself to identify the individual notes in this region, you bridging the gap between "strumming shapes" and "understanding music." This is essential for reading standard notation and understanding chord construction.
